What to know before your appointment.
While the Motus Laser Hair Removal system is safe for all skin types, there are some contraindications.

Laser CANNOT be performed if client PREGNANT or BREASTFEEDING. If pregnant, then it is recommended to wait until 3 months AFTER giving birth and if client IS breastfeeding then it is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing breastfeeding as this will allow the body to adjust to different hormones that are present during this time and could allow for better results. Additionally, it is best to wait 3 months after starting any new hormonal medications, such as birth control.

Laser services CANNOT be performed over tattooed or sunburned skin.

Patient should come to appointment with growth, not fresh shaved, 1-2 mm of hair needs to be present, this is 1-2 days after last shave.

While most clients use about 6 sessions to completely treat the intended area, some clients may require more than 6 sessions. The response is dependent on the color and coarseness of the hair, skin tone and stability of hormones.

If completing a full course of laser hair removal, it is important to follow the appropriate interval between appointments which will be detailed at your consultation.

As most body hair growth is driven by hormones, the manufacture recommendation is to have yearly touch-up sessions.

What should I know before my Laser Tattoo Removal?
How Does it Work?
The Zemits NDPrime laser passes laser light into the skin where it microscopically blasts the pigment into smaller bits that are easily eliminated by the body naturally. The treatment itself only lasts between 10-15 minutes and mild irritation can typically be expected for 3-7 days depending on the depth of the pigment and how much is removed.
Who is a Candidate?
Most any skin tone excluding Fitzpatrick levels 5-6. If the client has sunburned skin, treatment should not begin until their skin has fully healed. We can treat a wide range of permanent makeup and tattoo ink colors including black, brown, violet, blue, red, orange, green, and yellow. The Zemits NDPrime provides ideal wavelengths to eliminate nearly all permanent colors completely.
What are the Risks and Side Effects?
Risks and side effects differ from client to client and must be discussed in the initial consultation. Much like any invasive treatment, this laser treatment does carry risks but major side effects are very rare.
Recovery Time
The client can expect to feel little to no irritation on the treated area within 3-7 days..
Does it Hurt?
Pain can be expected, but most all clients opt for an anesthetic cream to be topically applied at least 30 minutes prior to the service. Cooling of the skin is employed throught the service to keep clients comfortable.
